Howard Elite Basketball Academy has never published a cancellation policy. Nothing existed on its old site, nothing exists on its Teachable school beyond that platform’s own boilerplate, and no terms were published for the gym.
What follows is a drafting template for Coach Howard to complete and approve. Every window, fee and threshold is deliberately left blank. Do not treat any of it as binding, and do not publish it, until he has filled it in and signed it off.
1. What this would cover
- 1-on-1 and group skill development sessions
- Lil’ Ballers clinics and age-group blocks
- Summer camps and high-school elite camps
- Basketball court rental at Industry Hoops
- Open Court memberships
- Youth and adult league entries, and tournament entries
2. Notice required to cancel
A participant who cannot attend must give notice of at least notice period to be set before the session start time, by method to be set — phone, message, or both.
Cancellation with sufficient notice would result in outcome to be set — credit, reschedule, or refund.
3. Late cancellation and no-shows
Cancelling with less than threshold to be set notice, or not attending at all, would be treated as consequence to be set. Any late-cancellation fee is amount to be set.
4. Rescheduling
A booked session may be moved number to be set times, provided the request is made at least notice period to be set in advance. Rescheduled sessions must be taken within window to be set.
5. Court rental
Court rental bookings carry their own notice period of to be set, because the slot cannot usually be re-let at short notice. Deposits, if taken, are refundable / non-refundable — to be set.
6. Memberships
An Open Court membership may be cancelled by giving notice period to be set. Cancellation takes effect timing to be set. Part-months are treatment to be set.
7. Cancellation by the academy
If the academy cancels a session — coach illness, facility closure, weather, or a scheduling conflict with South Gwinnett fixtures — participants would be offered remedy to be set — full credit, reschedule, or refund at no cost to them.
8. Camps, leagues and tournaments
Multi-week camps, league entries and tournament entries usually need their own terms, because places are held and scheduling is committed in advance. Those terms are to be set separately.
9. Injury and medical
Where a participant cannot continue for medical reasons, the academy would apply approach to be set, on production of evidence requirement to be set.
10. The online course
Basketball 101 is sold through Teachable and is not a booked session, so cancellation does not apply to it. See the refund policy.
11. How to cancel
Until a formal channel is set, cancellation is by contacting the gym directly — see the contact page. Note the phone number on file dates from 2023 and has not been re-confirmed.
12. Approval status
This document is not in force. It carries no authority until Coach Howard completes every bracketed term and approves it. Anyone who has already booked should ask him directly what terms apply.
